EXCHANGE RECOVERY USEFULNESS

Microsoft Exchange Server is Microsoft's email, calendar, contacts, scheduling, and collaboration platform. It is implemented on the Windows Server operating system (OS) for commercial use. Exchange Server is designed to allow users to access the messaging platform from mobile devices, desktop computers, and web-based systems. This article explains what you can do with it and what the different versions of Microsoft Exchange Server mean. How Does Exchange Server Work? Exchange Server is an enterprise-grade collaboration product primarily focused on sending, receiving, and storing email messages. In addition to message management, Exchange Server offers several other collaboration features, such as calendars and tight integration with other Microsoft Office applications. High availability is one of its main feature. These provide continuous service in various failure scenarios, including design paths that can guarantee service during single server or data center outages. These

FAQ’s ON DATA RECOVERY

Data recovery is not as common in people as they don’t know about its benefits and importance in their life until they themselves use it. So, here we are going to answer the most frequently asked questions related to data recovery.

FAQ's on data recovery

So, let’s start

1)  How Much Does Such A Data Recovery Actually Cost? Are Price Lists Available?

These are by far the most frequently asked questions, and unfortunately, the answer is different than most would like. Many factors influence the ultimate data recovery price: the type of information carrier, what exactly is defective (logical or physical damage) and how many rescue attempts have been made so far. There are also other parameters such as the number of parts needed and the time required for the technician. Giving a fixed price for a data carrier before it has even been examined in the cleanroom laboratory would not be wise.

2)  Where Are My Defective Data Carriers Being Worked On? Who Has Access To My Data?

Unfortunately, there are 'data recovery' companies that don't take it all that seriously, the 'well-known PO Box companies'. They seem to have a branch everywhere, but in fact they are only collection points for media without their own cleanroom laboratory. These 'companies' send the data carrier (s) of the relevant customers to subcontractors (often located in non-European countries). Who then has access to this, sometimes very sensitive and confidential, customer data is usually unclear and particularly shocking. Reliable data recovery companies have an on-site cleanroom laboratory and require strict confidentiality from all employees. Certifications and signed contracts are the basis for this.

3)  I Have Had A Defective Hard Drive At Home For 5 Years, Is There Anything Else To Be Saved?

If the defective hard disk was only stored then a successful data recovery is very likely. However, as soon as the hard disk has been attempted to boot several times or has been exposed to extreme temperature changes / vibrations, the chance of a successful reconstruction of the data is significantly reduced. When it comes to water damage, the time factor is very important: due to corrosion of the media, the data carrier must be taken to a data recovery specialist as soon as possible.

4)  Which Hard Drive From Which Manufacturer Is The Best?

As with giving specific prices (point 1), no concrete answer can be given here. The operational 'life' of a memory carrier / hard disk depends on many factors, in particular the 'history', i.e. the logistical route from production to the end user. The transport can already cause considerable damage due to heat exchange, vibrations or careless handling. For example, where the memory carrier is installed, it is sufficiently cooled during use.

5)  SSDS Are On the Rise - Aren't Data Recovery Companies Quickly Obsolete?

The bad news: Even SSDs suffer from defects that lead to data loss. The good news is that Data Recovery engineers have developed several methods and are now able to detect all known errors with and on SSDs. This allows them to successfully recover the data in most cases.

6)  What Should I Do With My Data Carrier / Hard Disk / Tape / Etc., If A Professional Data Recovery Company Cannot Help Me?

At Unistal data recovery we are often confronted with the so-called deleted data, where various removal programs have been applied, but the data is still available and can be extracted because this software does not allow access to the reserve areas of the data carrier on memory carriers by software is rarely possible. Even after serious physical damage, data recovery can be performed successfully.

7)  Why Should I Hire / Commission A Professional Data Recovery Specialist?

There are so many data recovery programs online, both free and paid. These discover only a small fraction of the errors that a “layman” cannot identify. In case of physical damage, the damaged hard disk must be replaced. Did this take place in a cleanroom? If a disc is opened outside the cleanroom, contamination and damage to the sensitive magnetic layer by small dust particles are already possible. A professional data recovery company has the necessary 'know-how' and tools, as each case must be handled individually.

8)  Why Is Data Recovery So Expensive?

It's not that complicated… The actual cost of data recovery is often underestimated by the customer. In an emergency, the data restorers work around the clock as soon as it appears that a company is 'down' due to the data loss. In addition, the expensive installation and maintenance of a cleanroom laboratory with modern technical equipment, which has a professional data recovery stand. In addition, one must continuously invest in research and development to always provide the right data recovery method to the latest technology in the market. Finally, the very extensive stock of parts must be regularly replenished with new hard drives in order to always have the matching identical drives ready for every customer.

9)  My Memory Carrier Is Still Within The Warranty Period. Is It Out Of Warranty Once The Data Recovery Specialist Has Been Working On It?

When it comes to a professional data recovery company with a cleanroom laboratory, the hard disk and SSD manufacturers accept the seal that the specialist applies after processing. If the disc is opened outside a cleanroom, the warranty will be void when opened!

10)        What Can I Do To Make Sure I Never Have To Go To A Data Restorer?

This question is often asked and there is only one answer: the only “data loss prevention” is an advanced backup strategy (redundant)! This means the regular backup of the data on different storage media, which is stored alternately in different locations.
