EXCHANGE RECOVERY USEFULNESS

Microsoft Exchange Server is Microsoft's email, calendar, contacts, scheduling, and collaboration platform. It is implemented on the Windows Server operating system (OS) for commercial use. Exchange Server is designed to allow users to access the messaging platform from mobile devices, desktop computers, and web-based systems. This article explains what you can do with it and what the different versions of Microsoft Exchange Server mean. How Does Exchange Server Work? Exchange Server is an enterprise-grade collaboration product primarily focused on sending, receiving, and storing email messages. In addition to message management, Exchange Server offers several other collaboration features, such as calendars and tight integration with other Microsoft Office applications. High availability is one of its main feature. These provide continuous service in various failure scenarios, including design paths that can guarantee service during single server or data center outages. These...

HARD DRIVE ERRORS: WHICH ARE THE MOST COMMON AND HOW TO FIX THEM

The hard drive errors can be a huge problem for users, since in many cases, is to lose all the data it had stored. And unfortunately, in most cases they occur without prior notice from the system. Therefore, we have considered that it would be a good idea to do a tutorial in which we talk about this problem, and the possible solutions we can take to recover data.

Most common hard drive errors

Overheating

·        Hard drives are generally more sensitive to temperatures than their solid counterparts. This is so because in a hard disk there is also a mechanical part that has to work at the same time and that, in turn, generates heat. This heat, if excessive, ends up degrading the electric motor that makes the platters turn, the platters themselves and even the reading heads that are on the arms of the comb. The usual thing for a hard disk is that it works correctly up to 50 ºC of temperature, but from 55 ºC it is very possible that it begins to give malfunctions. If it reaches 70 ºC, the hard disk will shut down by itself.

·        The solution to this problem is, obviously, to place a fan in front of the hard drive and make sure that enough air reaches it from outside, as well as that the hot air does not stay inside the case and is properly evacuated. This class of hard disk errors can have several aspects:

·        The SATA port on the motherboard is damaged. In this case, you can try to connect it to another SATA port on your motherboard.

·        The SATA port of the hard drive is damaged. In this case the solution is much more complex, since it involves finding a PCB equal to the one used by the hard drive with the damaged connector, and replacing it with the new one, at least until you can get the data from that unit.

·        The SATA cable is damaged. SATA cables are very cheap, so that's your best solution.

·        The power supply does not supply enough power to the hard disk. 3.5 ″ hard drives are fed from the +12 V channel of the power supply, while 2.5 ″ hard drives are fed from the +5 V channel. If the power supply is not capable of supplying enough power through these channels, the hard disk will not boot with the computer. Nor, of course, access the data in it. In this case, you should replace the source you have with one of more power or more modern, since power sources lose power over time.

Hard disk error

Too many sudden shutdowns

·        Sudden computer shutdowns, either because the computer has restarted by itself, or because we have restarted it because a program has caused the operating system to crash, can have collateral effects on hard drives. Among the most common hard disk errors that this type of action usually produces are the appearance of corrupt files on the disk (especially if it was in the middle of a file copy or cut / paste operation). But another, much more serious error is that, when the power supply is suddenly interrupted, the reading heads of the disc come into contact with the surface of the disc, scratching it and rendering it useless.

·        The best way to detect this type of problem is that the disk will constantly emit a series of clicks and a scraping sound when trying to start, and that the playhead cannot be positioned on top of the boot sector.

·        With these commands, the heads will analyze all the sectors of the hard disk and will try to restore the data from those that are faulty. Of course, arm yourselves with patience because this operation is usually quite long. If the Windows utility does not work for you. You could always try to repair bad sectors using programs like "HDD Regenerator".

·        In the case of a catastrophic failure, such as that the reading head has fallen on the surface of the platter, you can try to recover the information using special programs for that function. Now, if the reading head has been damaged when falling, then you can only take your unit to a company specialized in data recovery. And face a bill that is not going to be cheap.

Physical damages

·        If water or any type of fluid is spilled on the hard drive, there is a good chance that it will stop working. Especially if the water reaches the PCB that governs its operation. In this case, as in previous ones, replacing the original PCB with another can help you to recover the data from your hard drive.

·        A different case is if the unit falls from a certain height or is hit hard. In this case, the most probable thing is that the reading heads and / or the plates will be misaligned, with which the unit will be unusable and without the possibility of repair on our part. Or if, by some accident, the disc seals break, allowing dust to enter inside.

Recovering files after hard drive is damaged

Due to any of these reasons such as physical damage, too many shutdowns, etc. if your hard drive still gets damaged and your files are at risk than you can take help of data recovery software to recover all your lost data without damaging or deleting any files. These data recovery software are very helpful for an individual or an organization to always keep their files safe if they didn’t kept a backup of their files or folders. These are really very easy to use and the best option for anyone in difficult times of not recovering files.
